ZooFiesta Description

The ZooFiesta in Washington, DC is a yearly celebration of Hispanic culture. Every fall, and coinciding with Hispanic Heritage month, attendees to ZooFiesta come to experience the diverse cultural heritage of Latin America through traditional arts and crafts, a variety of Latin American foods, Hispanic and Latino music, and costumed salsa and merengue dancing.

The Fiesta Musical takes place annually at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park. Getting underway at 10 AM and running all day until 4 PM, the ZooFiesta is free and open to the public and will feature, besides the rich variety of Hispanic and Latino cultures, golden lion tamarins, Andean bears, anteaters, sloths, and more friends of the National Zoo. More information for guests and prospective sponsors can be found on the ZooFiesta website.
