Bullitt - Bar | Restaurant in San Francisco.

Party Earth Review Named after the 60s-era Steve McQueen flick, Bullitt combines the modern design of a contemporary cocktail lounge with the comfort food of an upscale diner – though despite the moniker, there are no posters of McQueen on the bare polished walls. During the day the venue caters to a crowd of social thirty-somethings who ... more

District - Lounge | Wine Bar in San Francisco.

Party Earth Review A Mark Twain quote on District's website reads "There are no standards of taste in wine" – and perhaps in response, owners have filled the venue's open warehouse space with a giant, shiny U-shaped bar stocked with hundreds of palate-pleasing pourables. SF Late Night Food Overview

Bullitt - Bar | Restaurant in SF

Fans of late-night food in San Francisco are in luck. With the fabulous restaurants all over town that stay open past curfew, there’s no need to sell the soul of your stomach for after-hours grub at some greasy spoon.

Amidst the murals and street vendors in the Mission exists an eclectic spread of food purveyors that serve chow until midnight and beyond. From the ham and oysters at Hog & Rocks, to the Spanish-style slow food at Pisco Latin Lounge, dining late can definitely be a treat in this part of town. All it takes is a brief walk down one of the main boulevards to spot a place that’s open.

The Marina/Cow Hollow may be limited on options when fourth meal rolls around, but thanks to The Brixton, the parties that call this hood their social home can dine on pulled-pork sandwiches instead of pancakes at the nearby IHOP.

Of course, some people prefer a little late-night grease to combat a potential hangover. Those down in the Castro have a couple 24-hour diners with Sparky’s and Orphan Andy's. In Civic Center/Tenderloin is 24-hour spot Cafe Mason, which boasts homemade food from scratch.

Looking for a little late-night San Francisco history with your meal? Popular after-hour food joint The Grubstake up in Nob Hill is situated in an old rail car…and open daily until 4am.
