Party Earth Review Just on the southern edge of the busy Mission drinking scene, corner pub The Napper Tandy is authentically Irish from the name out front to the brogues of its waitresses to the all-you-can-eat fish and chips on Mondays. From the outside, little sets the place apart from the slew of nearby bars save for the large front ... more

Party Earth Review Steelers fans, sandwich seekers, and budget-minded boozers all find something to love at Giordano Bros., a longstanding favorite over in North Beach that opened its Mission location – a part of town not exactly known for sports bars – back in late 2011. The split venue consists of a bar area to one side where yuppies and ... more

Party Earth Review The Mission area may not be a sports bar lover’s paradise, but the lack of competition isn’t the only reason The Phoenix Irish Bar is so popular. Although the Mission isn’t the prime San Francisco destination for sports lovers, there are a few haunts with plenty of TVs to park in front of while sipping on a cold brew.
The Phoenix Irish Bar is a popular Mission sports bar for patrons who love pucks, balls, baskets, and beers. From the Stanley Cup to the World Cup, this spot is a solid bet for game days and Guinness.
At The Napper Tandy, the massive projection screen over the fireplace is always tuned to ESPN. Note that the place gets super crowded when a European soccer match is happening on the weekend.
And for locals who can handle a bit of Pittsburg pride, Giordano Bros. has more than 20 drafts on tap to enjoy while watching the match. But even though it’s a Steelers stronghold, don’t expect to catch a Pirates game at this joint (at least not until the team has a winning season, according to the eatery’s owner).
Sports bars in the Mission attract all kinds of folks: frat boys, college kids, blue-collar blokes, yuppies, old Mission geezers, businessmen, and artsy types. Just try not to wear any gear from San Francisco’s SoCal rivals.
