OohLaLA! Festival: Los Angeles Description

OohLaLA! Festival: Los Angeles - Concert in San Francisco.

A three-day French-filled musical gala in October, OohLaLA! Festival: Los Angeles is one of the biggest French artistic events in the whole country, promising tons of performances by French artists on the indie pop, rock, folk, and electronic scene.

Founded in 2009 by a joint effort between French label Barclay/Universal Music France and the French General Consulate in Los Angeles, the OohLaLA! Festival performers include both established artists as well as emerging new players in the French-osphere.

OohLaLA! Festival kicks off at the El Rey downtown before expanding to multiple locations throughout the city, including Club Nokia and The Satellite.

San Francisco, New York, and Montreal hold concurrent OohLaLA! Festivals during the same week.

Previous OohLaLA! Festival performers have included Citizens!, Housse de Racket, Lescop, Tomorrow's World, Jean-Benoit Dunckel (half of the duo Air), Phoenix, and many more.

Tickets to the OohLaLA! Festival shows vary depending on which artist you go see, but typically start at around $27.

The OohLaLA! Festival is co-produced by Goldenvoice, organizer of the famed Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
