Monti, Rome –
One of the most popular Irish bars in town, Druid’s Rock packs in sports-loving patrons attracted by the foosball and pool tables available in the upstairs game room, the frequent noisy bar games, and the dozen or so big-screen TVs where they can catch their favorite European sports.
Although the long main bar on the ground floor offers plenty of barstools, tables, and kegs at which to gather, patrons tend to drift to the outdoor patio to watch a game on the flat-screen TV embedded in the wall or, lacking a game, to enjoy the splendid view of Santa Maria Maggiore church.
A bit sleeker than most pubs of its kind, Druid’s Rock combines a more modern black décor with a wacky collection of objects hung from the ceiling, including sombreros, fluffy top hats, plastic animals, t-shirts, and flags.
Combined with the chatty international crowd, Druid's Rock manages to create an easygoing, festive atmosphere that goes beyond the typical sports bar.
International mix of English speakers, Europeans, expats, students, and travelers, as well as local sports fans, early 20s to late 40s.
Live music on weekends from 11pm, including rock, jazz, and cover bands. TVs tuned to sports or MTV. Foosball and pool tables.
Schedule of events posted at the bar and online.
Bar snacks include chicken wings and sandwiches. Happy Hour daily until 8pm.

Druid’s Rock is at its best whenever there’s a big game on.
