Champs-Élysées - 8eme, Paris –
The posh Champs-Élysées is the perfect setting for Bound, a swanky and slightly snooty nightspot where upscale guests are greeted at the door by a well-dressed staff ready to cater to their every whim.
Once ushered through the doors, the status-conscious clientele find themselves immersed in a glam-meets-goth interior, with giant black chandeliers, deep purple walls, and sumptuous velvet-covered chairs forming the backdrop for low-key conversation.
The long, illuminated bar in the front is an elegant post from which to sample Bound’s exquisite wines, while the sushi bar in the back offers light dinner fare.
Although Bound may have lost some of its initial following since its heyday in 2005, the outstanding food and exceptional service still make it an excellent choice for a stylish evening out.
A sophisticated mid-30s+ crowd dominates the dinner hour, while the slightly younger jet set starts arriving after 10pm.
House/techno music keeps the mood elevated.
Sushi, a varied á la carte menu, and desserts. Last dinner served at 12:45am.
Á la carte selections €15–€35, prix fixe menus: lunch €32–€50, dinner €50–€70, sushi €10–€30. Beer €10, wine and cocktails €12+.
Dressy/designer.
Saturdays are golden, especially after midnight.
