Party Earth Review “A taste of England in the heart of Paris” is what The Bombardier claims to offer to its mix of nostalgic Brits and thirsty students, and by the Queen’s knickers, it does not fail to deliver. Nestled in a snug corner of the Place du Pantheon, the bar features dark wood, brass beer pumps, and plush red carpets that reek ... more

Party Earth Review Painted red like one of its favorite team’s colors, Rush Bar brings out a crowd of fanatical European soccer seekers, but is also known for having a high-quality and budget-friendly daytime menu that is worlds away from the average sports bar. Party Earth Review Part of a chain of seven Frog pubs, Frog and Princess is a no-frills sports bar that brews its own beer and is frequented by a primarily English-speaking crowd drawn in by the home brews, numerous TVs, and loudly cheering sports fans who gather to watch their favorite teams. Party Earth Review Located next door to the famous Moulin Rouge, O’Sullivans by the Mill is an English-friendly bar and music venue, but patrons shouldn’t be fooled by the name – this isn’t a traditional Irish pub. The denizens in Paris are passionate about their food, their wine, their culture, and their partying, but if there’s one thing they go really crazy for, it’s their sports. Whenever there’s a match on TV the sports bars in Paris are invariably packed with sports fans of all persuasions.
Just as in the vast majority of European cities, football (soccer) is by far the most popular sport, and catching a game in person is a must for any sports lover. But if you can’t make it to Parc des Princes to watch hometown heroes Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG) in person, the next best thing might be to catch all the action at great Paris sports bars. Winners of multiple tournaments and championships, PSG competes both against other French teams and around Europe as well, so even if their playing outside of the country it’s doubtful you will have to walk very far to find a sports bar in Paris carrying the match.
Most Paris sports bars have great bar food to go with the action, and all will have an ecstatic fan base cheering on their teams. Football isn’t the only game Parisians are passionate about though, as basketball has steadily become more and more popular with French international stars playing more and more in the NBA, so if that’s your game, the chances are good you can find a bar full of hoops-lovers too.
And of course everybody goes nuts for the French Open – one of the four biggest tennis tournaments in the world – and even crazier over the final stage of the Tour de France. So unless you plan on riding your bike 2,200 miles, how about pedaling over to a sports bar in Paris instead?
