Belushi's User Reviews

Average rating:
International flavour.
Amanda D. Apr 8, 2013
My take: For a little international flavour, head over to Belushi’s Bar and Café. The location is just right. It has terrace seats facing the Saint-Martin Canal and is downstairs from St Christopher’s Inn, a hostel frequented by young travellers from all over the world. The travellers check into the hostel then head downstairs for a drink, an affordable meal and an encounter with other travellers. The scene: Belushi’s is always very lively, especially during happy hour and during the screening of sports games! You can sense the excitement in the air from the travellers ready to explore Paris. The expats that go to Belushi’s go there to see other internationals and some friendly faces (Parisians are known to be cold and unfriendly). Go to Belushi’s for the great vibe, occasional live music, cheap drinks and the chance to make new friends from all over the world. Cocktails and cuisine: The menu has English translations and the staff is international and friendly. For something light try the wings, nachos, tapas or quesadillas. For a more filling meal try the chicken, beef or veggie burgers where you can choose your own toppings. The food is okay but some of the portions are a little smaller than expected. Prices: The prices are affordable compared to the rest of Paris. They seem to cater for the budget travellers staying in the hostel. The drinks are a giveaway during happy hour; 5.50€ for cocktails, 4.50€ for a pint of beer and 2.50€ for a glass of wine! Other prices are: Starters: from 4.50€ Burgers: from 9€ Dessert: from 2€ What to wear: Belushi’s is easy going and laid back. You should dress accordingly. Casual is key. Insider info/When to go: Happy hour is from 6-9pm. During summer grab the canal facing seats on the terrace.
