Gotta love some Shakespeare in the Park!
Chris K. Nov 28, 2012
It's not just the fantastic Shakespeare In The Park performances that make the Delacorte an incredible theater. Sure, it helps that you can see actors like Liev Shreiber and Lauren Ambrose perform roles written by the greatest playwright of all time. But it's the location and the magic of being outdoors that really serves the theater. Having bugs and bats fluttering around the stage lights, letting a little breeze shift the emotional energy of the show, and just enjoying the summer air as these actors pour their hearts out--that's what makes the Delacorte into an incredible theater, the likes of which is not really available elsewhere in the city. Just be ready to set up camp--these free tickets can be hard to come by.
