New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are a Major League Baseball (MLB) team that plays games at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York. Construction of the stadium was completed in 2009 and the seating capacity is 50,291. The team was originally founded in Baltimore in 1901 but quickly moved to New York two short years later, and Yankees games have been played in The Big Apple ever since. Members of the East Division of the American League, the Yankees are one of the most storied franchises in all of sports and have won more World Series championships and Pennants than any other team. Notable Yankees include Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Lou Gehrig, Mariano Rivera, and Derek Jeter. Yankees tickets can be purchased at the ballpark but bear in mind that games sell out, especially when the team is in first (which happens a lot).
