Party Earth Review With its polished tables, exposed brick walls, and caged lighting, Korzo seems to have all the trappings of a standard Park Slope cocktail lounge, but its menu of Central European comfort food and hard-to-find German brews actually makes it a welcome Bavarian oasis in the middle of Brooklyn. Once known as Eurotrip ... more

For post-collegiate hipsters and blue-collar workers, weekend mornings are too sacred a sleeping time to rise early for the most important meal of the day. Fortunately, brunch in Park Slope is common and incredible, allowing both hard-partying and good-natured constituencies to merge breakfast and lunch into one sit-down feast.
The most common iteration of Park Slope brunch is exemplified by Rose Water on Union Street. Sure, the young, vintage-clad professionals who show up usually wait a half-hour for a table, but the chill service staff and delicious craft food make the delay worth it. The vine-covered outdoor seating area provides wonderful people-watching opportunities, with a location still hip enough to serve as a bragging chip.
However, if fennel and lemon bread aren’t your thing, Park Slope brunches take many forms. At Korzo on 5th Avenue, blue-collar musicians and older neighborhood characters sip Czech beers while nibbling on steak sandwiches and polenta. Meanwhile, on 7th Avenue, Sotto Voce offers a delicious Italian brunch involving meat sauce and bottomless mimosas.
While some prefer three square meals a day, the cool and booze-minded patrons of Park Slope know better. Brunch is the ultimate meal in Brooklyn, and few neighborhoods do it better than this trendy locale.
