Good for Groups in Greenpoint Overview

House Of Vans - Music Venue | Concert Venue | Event Space in Greenpoint, NYC

While it’s a small neighborhood that’s slightly out of the way, Greenpoint has plenty of activities good for groups. What makes this area of Brooklyn somewhat insular and hard to infiltrate is also what makes it so great to traverse with a group of friends.

By day, one of the best good-for-groups activities in Greenpoint is simply walking around. The 'hood, mostly full of laid-back Polish immigrants, has some incredible old-city architecture untouched by modern-day glitz. Meanwhile, Greenpoint’s many cafés and bars, such as the adorable Veronica People’s Club, offer plenty of relaxing refreshments and great culture, as well as several backyards that give city-weary travelers a whiff of flowers and a ray of sunshine.

At night, Greenpoint’s bars and clubs are perfect for groups. Many, like Warsaw or the Palace, go for a ramshackle-cum-spectacle liveliness, where cute hipsters and laid-back beardos sip PBR and talk local crafts and music. Event spaces like Europa and Saint Vitus draw in specialized crowds – Polish dance partiers and satanic metalheads, respectively – of work friends and scene celebrities who party the night away with alcoholic abandon.

Though the G train can be a pain for large gatherings of people with various destinations, Greenpoint is certainly good for groups.
