Party Earth Review A local saying states that Munich is Italy’s most northern city, and the quaint and romantic Italian café La Stanza (The Room) embodies that saying by making each patron feel like they've just stepped off the streets of Venice. Popular with the glamorous clubbing set as well as an older, more refined crowd, the venue's ... more

Party Earth Review “A cocktail a day keeps the doctor away,” or so says the sign at this cute bar with a distinct Italian flair. It might not have the same romantic reputation as Paris, but Munich has plenty of options for lovebirds both young and old.
An outdoor date idea in Munich can easily be found in the lush Schlosspark Nymphenburg in the west end of town. Once a royal garden, the park is a favorite for leisurely strolls, jogging, and lounging around. It is also conveniently located next to the botanical gardens, where a couple can continue their day amongst beautiful greenery.
For a more traditional Munich date idea, the Museum Lictspiele (the second oldest movie theater in Munich) and the Gabriel Theatre (the oldest movie theater in Munich) both show English-language films. Then there’s the gothic Museum Lichtspiele, which has Sunday performances of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
For a glimpse of old Bavarian royalty there are also day trips to the Royal Palace of Herrenchiemsee and Fraueninsel, where romantic boat and horse rides can be taken. Another day adventure could involve a tour of Neuschwanstein Castle, which inspired Disneyland and countless other romantic notions of old Bavaria.
