Tucked away from the street and located in a cellar, Master’s Home is a stylish bar and restaurant modeled after a nineteenth-century British lord’s manor.
The various rooms offer different vibes for the well-dressed, low-key clientele, from the main room with its semi-circular bar to the cozy library, full of old books and sophisticated charm.
A canopied bed and delicate paintings grace the "bedroom," while the bathroom is fitted out with an antique sink and bathtub. Ubiquitous hunting trophies and crystal chandeliers add to the overall theme, while groups of jovial patrons gather to clink glasses at the dark wood tables scattered throughout the manor.
A spacious terrace loaded with bamboo and fountains completes the space, where diners descend to indulge in the multicourse fixed menu of Italian cuisine.
The vibe at Master’s Home heats up later in the evening as the trendy patrons start to wander from room to room to sip cocktails, mixing and mingling in a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere fit for a king.
A mix of stylish university students and well-dressed young professionals, 25 and up.
Ambient lounge music. Live piano music on many weekends.
Gourmet Italian cuisine. Menu includes appetizers, pasta with truffles, and meat and fish dishes. Nightly prix fixe menu consisting of eight courses, though patrons may choose the number of courses they prefer.
Appetizers €7.50+, entrées €7.50–€18.50. Prix fixe menu €6.50 per item ordered. Beer €3+, wine €5+, mixed drinks €7+.
Smart casual/trendy.
Weekends are most popular, but the place fills up on Thursdays as well.
