The Queen Mary is a retired ocean liner docked in Long Beach, California that currently serves as a luxury hotel and event space.

Built to do regular voyages between England, France, and New York, the RMS Queen Mary took her maiden voyage in 1936. The guest rooms are decorated in an Art Deco style, and the ship offers a variety of tours and events to occupy guests throughout their stay.

In addition to its rich naval and cultural history, the Queen Mary has been ranked one of Time magazine’s Top 10 Most Haunted Places in America. A variety of stories can be found about the haunted history of the vessel, and the Queen Mary offers a haunted tour on site.

Jewlicious Festival Hits Queen Mary for a weekend as open as the sea

NINTH ANNUAL JEWLICIOUS MUSIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATES UNITY AND EXPLORES JEWISH SEXUALITY Three Days and Nights Bringing Together the Tribe Discussing Hot Topics of Sex and Religion, Human Rights, the Future of Israel, and More Jewlicious Festival 9, March 8-10, 2013, Queen Mary, Long Beach (Los Angeles, CALIF.) February 21, 2013 –I thorooughly enjoyed my stay on the Queen Mary this spring when I attended the ninth annual world-famous Jewlicious Music Arts and Cultural Festival! The three-day festival, which was held March 8-10th on the historic luxury cruise liner the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, featured an impressive roster of the most talented musicians, entrepreneurs, artists, and change-makers around. Jewlicious 9 hosted spectacular music, featuring Rami Jaffee, stellar keyboardist of The Wallflowers and The Foo Fighters, playing with Johnny Kaplan and the Lazy Stars. The Festival’s keynote speaker, America’s Rabbi, Shmuley Boteach, best-selling author of over twenty-five books, TV host and commentator, had an incredible night of speaking that bordered on late night comedy stand up ruckus and was not to be missed. His books include Kosher Sex, Kosher Jesus, Kosher Adultery, and most recently The Fed-Up Man of Faith. The festival also highlighted the Honorable David Segal, Israeli Consul General of Los Angeles, who addressed diversity and conflict in Israeli Society and really made us all think. They were joined by such exciting and controversial speakers as Ayo Oppenheimer, celebrated creator and well received sexy banterer of Jewrotica.com, serial technology entrepreneur Ori Neidich, human rights activist Dana Seigelman, and Editor-in-Chief of the Los Angeles Jewish Journal, Rob Eshman. The boat itself was a delight, a historic tourist destination with old timey, some would consider, haunted rooms, with gorgeous show rooms throughout, and a multi-level open balcony with a soothing water view. The program featured an evening of documentary films, a “Jewlectric Dance Party, VIP Benefit Reception of wine and sushi tasting, a 1920’s Casino, yoga, spaces dedicated to democratic action, music jamming, classes, workshops, and a Sunday brunch carnival featuring Brazilian samba dancers and stilt circus, which alone would have made the experience a hit. Even the multiple boat evacutions due to a smoke detector setting off and then a power outage, only added to the go with the flow, never knowing what to expect atmosphere that all in attendance continued to marvel at. These activities all combined for an exciting, enriching weekend of thought provoking, absolute fun. Over the past eight years, Jewlicious has created a loyal following of thousands who are attracted to the Festival’s eclectic and diverse program that gathers in one place so much talent and inspiring presenters. The Festival features 100 sessions and concerts spread over three unforgettable days. Vendors, organizations, and companies interested in participating in the Festival next year are encouraged to contact at the festival office ASAP at (310) 277-5544 For future ticket information and more details visit www.jewliciousfestival.com. About Jewlicious Jewlicious was founded in 2004 to bring together people of all backgrounds to celebrate their common heritage and humanity.
