Katusya Hollywood is the "IT" restaurant. Whether you're coming for the fun atmosphere, the delicious food, or the chance to spot your favorite celebrity, you will not be disappointed. The staff is extremely accommodating and is familiar with the menu, so taking their recommendations is a must! The modern-hip decor and the great location make Katusya Hollywood the ideal destination for a girl's night out, a quick bite, or even a date! And to top it all off, the chance of you seeing a celebrity are extremely high since paparazzi are always stationed outside.

Paparazzi!! No, they weren't chasing after us but were outside waiting for real celebrities & appeared to be from TMZ..lol. Glad we made it out to check out Katsuya! The rock shrimp entrée was delicious, so were the almond crusted scallops and kobe filet with foie gras! Scallops were a little overcooked but the almonds masked it well! Word to guys with huge appetites: Eat a burger before coming here cuz gourmet doesn't come cheap or with big servings either! Very flavorful and creative items that were just enough for 2 girls with a drink each! We had some mochi ice cream to top it off Service was good...go check it out.

Want the greatest sushi imaginable? Want to maybe sit next to Hollywood's biggest star? If so, Katsuya Hollywood is the place for you. This sushi is not only unique but it is out of this world good. Its notorious for being populated with the big wigs of the area. AND let me tell ya, the garlic roll is exploding with flavor. Not to mention the aesthetics make you feel like you're sitting in one of Los Angeles' trendiest restaurants, because you are! This place is so good that it fills up FAST. Its a reservation or bust joint, but well worth the wait. As the wise Beastie Boys once said, "Check, Check, Ch-heck it out!".

Katsuya has the best tasting sushi in LA. Although it can be a bit pricey, so be prepared to pay more than the average sushi place. They have their own unique rolls as well as some popular ones (like the spicy tuna roll). I recommend trying the spicy tuna on crispy rice, as well as the special katsuya roll. You can really taste the quality of the fresh fish, and everything is made very quickly, but with great presentation as well! They have very tasty cocktails, I especially like the grapefruit cosmo. The service is excellent and it has a very trendy vibe. Conveniently located close to Pantages Theater for a pre-play dinner.

Katsuya is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. It has a trendy, fun atmosphere with a darker sort of ambiance. It is a great place for a date night or a nice dinner out with some friends. I cannot go here without ordering the rock shrimp on a spicy tuna roll and the crispy rice. Both are to die for! They also serve the best rainbow roll I have ever had at any sushi restaurant. It is pretty pricey but if you are looking for good sushi it is definitely the place to go. At night it can get busy, especially on weekends so I definitely suggest making reservations if you can! It is a must to go here if you are in LA!

Katsuya serves hands down the best sushi I have ever had in my life. I would reccomend it to all sushi lovers out there because it is definitely the freshest fish I have ever tasted. Although it is a little pricey it is totally worth it. Great spot for dates. My personal favorite thing to order is their rock shrimp, but something on the more healthy side is a plate they offer which is a spicy tuna roll wrapped in cucumber instead of rice. This is a great low carb option that is so tasty and satisfying!

Katsuya has become my favorite sushi restaurant after coming to school in LA. I have been to the Katsuya in Hollywood as well as the one in LA live and have never been disappointed! The service is always amazing and the food always come extremely fast. My family and I usually order a bunch of appetizers to share as well as sushi rolls and main entrees. My favorite dishes are the spicy tuna over crispy rice, rock shrimp tempura the miso cod, and the baked crap hand roll. Everything about this restaurant is amazing and i would definitely recommend it!

Katsuya is definitely my favorite sushi place in LA. While it can be a little too scene-y for me, I can look past it for a bite of their baked crab hand roll or spicy tuna on crispy rice. The only downside is the price. It's CRAZY expensive and somewhere I only go when my parents are in town and footing the bill. I recommend going with a small group (4 people) and getting a bunch of dishes to share. My favorites are the rock shrimp roll, black cod, and the two listed above. The only bad experience I've had there was when I went for a friend's birthday and brought homemade cupcakes for dessert. They said it would cost $25 to serve so I said I'd save them for afterwards and they continued to charge me $25 just for bringing them inside. Only in LA! Though I haven't tried it, apparently Iza-kaya by Katsuya is a cheaper version of this exact restaurant, so that may also be worth exploring if you're tight on cash.

Fresh, wonderful sushi. While it's far from traditional sushi, their dishes are great. The atmosphere is fun and fansy, without being over the top. It's a little pricey for the amount of food you're getting but you'll enjoy every bite.

This is literally some of the best sushi you will ever eat. Besides how fresh and wonderful the seafood is, the recipes are so deliciously yummy- balancing the salty and sweet in many of their recipes. You have to try the crunch roll- SO GOOD. only downside is that it's a bit pricey-- so just be prepared to spend a few extra dollars for the amazing quality. definitely recommend!!!!!!!

This literally is some of the best and freshest sushi I have ever had. While it is very pricey, for a special night it is absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is great and you shouldn't have to wait if you have a reservation. You really should make a reservation though because it is such a popular place! Try the spicy tuna on crispy rice, albacore with crispy onions, and fried rock shrimp - I'm getting hungry thinking about it all! Such good food, you're bound to enjoy it.

Katsuya is such a great restaurant. The service is great and the food is amazing. They offer amazing, one of a kind, sushi dishes and has always been one of my favorite places to get sushi around LA. The food is great quality and it is a very fun environment. It is also a great place for people who do not like sushi as their menu is very extensive and offers many different options. Everything I have tried there is amazing but some of my favorite things are the vegetable tempura (it is done very differently than anywhere else) and their crab rolls. It is a fun place for casual dinners as well as events such as birthday dinners, etc..

Katsuya is an all around great sushi restaurant when it comes to atmosphere and food! Really great sushi (try the spicy tuna on crispy rice!!) and a fun scene to match. It's fun to order a bunch of plates and do family style. The Hollywood venue is definitely my favorite, although I frequent the LA Live venue more. Dress to impress for sure, everyone always looks hot there. It is on the pricier side but you get a great experience with it! Enjoy

Katsuya is hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in LA so I definitely recommend it to all! The sushi is amazing-- especially the spicy tuna rolls and the rock shrimp tempura rolls. I recommend sharing plates of sushi if you are going with a group of people because each plate comes with more than one food item. The dress for Katsuya is on the fancier side and also the food ends up being pretty expensive because you order so many dishes, so make sure to plan for that! Overall I would definitely recommend for any sushi lover to try out Katsuya because it not only has great vibes and great drinks, but also amazing food!

Katsuya is a fabulous restaurant all around and I recommend it to all! Their sushi is amazing as are their drinks...and even if you don't love sushi there are other options on the menu! Favorite drink there is their Bellini- if you go you have to try it! The servers are always great and the ambiance is too. Katsuya is great for a variety of occasions: family dinner, dinner out with the girls, date, or even a causal lunch. Or just going and sitting at the bar is fun, too! Who doesn't love a good drink with some amazing sushi? the attire can be both casual or dressy, both are acceptable. I know that Katsuya is one of my favorite restaurants in Southern California, not only for the food but for its ambiance. It has that lounge and bar and modern style which is always fun on a night out. I honestly don't have a bad thing to say about Katsuya! I love it and I guarantee you will too! 4 stars for sure.

Their sushi and hot plates are to die for. I am also a fan of their signature cocktails that are truly amazing. If you are going with a group of friends, you can share a bunch of larger plates to cut down the bill, and that way you also get to sample a bunch of different items. Their sashimi is amazing and I've never ordered something that was less than great. Definitely recommend!

If you ask me where to go in LA for the hottest girls at dinnertime, the first LA restaurant that will pop into my head will always be Katsuya. From the hostess to the waitresses to the groups on a girl's night out, the place is simply packed with Hollywood hotties every night of the week. Now, you need to watch your wallet when you're paying for the privilege of hot girls around you at all times. Katsuya in Hollywood is by no means cheap. But it's worth it. I'm not the biggest sushi eater in the world. But I'll take down some spicy tuna and a few handrolls with the best of them. But honestly - if you couldn't tell - not here for that. I'll take down two bottles of sake and an Asahi instead and then flirt with the group of girls at the table next to us. Good times at Katsuya, great energy, hot girls. I'm in, always.

Katsuya Hollywood is one of the trendiest restaurants in LA. I don't think I'm going out on a limb at all by saying that. The place is consistently filled with a who's who of young Hollywood, groups of hot girls in micro-skirts and 5-inch heels, and lots of dudes there to stare. The thing is, if you strip away all the nonsense, get the tourists out of there, lose the paparazzi hanging out across the street, and just focus on the sushi - then you're in for a very, very solid meal. Everything here is relatively good. I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to my raw fish, but they have some creative dishes that I even have to order. The crab and mozzarella tempura is unique and delicious. The yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno is out of this world. And the crispy rice with spicy tuna is second to none. But just the regular fish will blow you away as well. So if you're looking for really great sushi combined with some of LA's craziest/hottest/coolest people-watching, then you can't really go wrong with Katsuya.
