Formally one of the Nederlander Organization’s many music venues upon opening in 1983, the Pacific Amphitheatre, located on the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, is a live concert space. Given its location among residential developments, the amphitheater has been the subject of many noise complaints and had to close in 1993.
This setback didn’t prevent the venue from making a comeback when it re-opened in 2003 under the ownership of the OC Fair. Today, the only event at The Pacific Amphitheatre is the Summer Concert Series, which runs in conjunction with the 23-day OC Fair each summer.
The enormous outdoor venue has four seating sections and can hold over 18,000 concertgoers who come to see musical performances in all genres. Past performers at the Pacific Amphitheatre include Bob Dylan, One Republic, Black Eyed Peas, and John Legend.
The Pacific Amphitheatre takes pride in its “fan-friendly” ticket prices, which all include free admission to the OC Fair.
