Confidential is slightly random given that it is located in the middle of Beverly Hills on Beverly Drive. It’s discreet from the outside. In fact, I didn’t even know it existed until I was told by a group of friends to go on a summer night. I never expected to see a nightclub just a few blocks down from a residential area, but sure enough, it exists.
When I got to Confidential around 11 or 11:30 there was absolutely no line. The bouncers let us in with no fuss. We walked down a steep set of darkly lit stairs and entered the club to see groups of people popping bottles at tables.
The décor features white couches and weird colored lighting. In general, the décor is pretty tacky. Aside from tables with bottle service, there is a round bar with average drinks priced at about $12 or $14.
The crowd at Confidential consisted of 30 somethings with some just-out-of-college 20 somethings. The club wasn’t completely full or packed, which on the one hand was nice because there was room to walk around and move without getting shoved, but on the other hand it felt kind of awkward and incomplete. It was lacking the energy of a great dance club.
I definitely wouldn’t say Confidential is a hot spot. Overall, I feel like it’s a pretty cheesy venue that I’m not sure will last long.
