Wuddup Bad Girls Club

Blok ain't my style. I've only been on Fridays and just didn't like the ambiance. Tiny tables, ratched club rats giving dirty looks to any female a degree cuter than them, bougie, broke ass guys eye-banging the crap outta you. Then again, I've come both times as sober Sally, but felt no need to stay. Didn't buy drinks so can't tell you about prices, but one of the "co-owners" was extremely rude to me until I put him in his place (I'm not a desperate groupie, sorry), then it was free drinks all night. The bouncers are nice though. But again, I come here in desperate times.
New Kid on the "bLoK" Delivers
Marc C. Feb 18, 2013
The closure of Mr. Black at Bardot left many people, including myself, hoping for something new to fill the Tuesday night void. So it was welcome news when Mr. Black's promoters announced they were re-vamping Tuesday night with EVITA at bLoK nightclub. SBE's latest hotspot oozes with elegant sensuality. Upon entering the long hallway to get inside, the main dance floor welcomes guests as the DJ (bLok attracts a Who's Who of talent) spins on an elevated platform. The dimly lit interior sets up a mysterious atmosphere that is instantly punctuated by the thumping beats and laser light show emanating from the ceiling. The dance floor is anchored on one end by the main bar and surrounded by sunken booths that offer a modern twist to the VIP table. Past the main area is an outdoor patio that features arena style steps that overlooks a second bar. The juxtaposition of low booths with raised platforms and the step seating makes for an interactive experience unlike any other nightclub in tow. The crowd is dressed not just to impress, but to soak up the spotlight, with EVITA (like Mr. Black) hosting theme nights for that "90s club kid" living inside each one of us. A few tips for first-timers: parking can be difficult (the club is located in the heart of Hollywood, just steps away from the main boulevard), there is no cover on Tuesday nights, and drinks are free until 10 p.m.
bLoK Nightclub- Getting TheWeek Or Weekend Started!
Ellie D. Jan 29, 2013
My Advice/My Take: bLoK is one the hottest nightclubs in Hollywood right now. What formally used to be called Crimson, bLoK acquired new owners and SBE Nightlife launched their newest nightclub endeavor this past summer. The venue has plenty of elevated tables for bottle service and a heightened DJ booth. Although bLoK has been booking some of the hottest DJs in the bizz, there is limited dance floor space, so getting there early and staking your spot is highly recommended. Need to Know/Tip/Insider Info: Getting into the club is not always easy, especially without paying a cover. My advice to you would be to try to get on a promoters list. This will access the girl’s free entrance and guy’s with a lower cover charge. Also, getting a table is always a sure way of easy entrance, but of course expensive! However, if you have the money to drop, bLoK will not disappoint. Who’s Hanging Here/ What’s the Vibe: Since Blok is still relatively new and is bringing in some of the hippest DJs in the industry (EC Twins, Chris James, Diplo) you could find yourself standing next to a celeb at any given time. The likes of Chris Brown, Lauren Conrad, and Joe Jonas have all been spotted partying here. COCKTAILS & CUISINE: Drinks are fairly expensive ($12) but as to be expected in Hollywood and no food is served. **However, when leaving the club there is usually a man or woman selling bacon-wrapped hot dogs… way cheaper than bar food! And I promise will hit the spot! What to Wear: bLoK definitely attracts a trendier crowd, so dress to impress! What Does it Cost? It’s most likely going to be a pricey night. Time to take out that piggy bank! When to Go? Surprisingly, bloK is pretty hoppin’ on Tuesday’s (bloK Tuesdays). Thursday and Friday nights are also very popular. However, the most fun nights are when they bring in the big DJs, so usually on Friday nights.
