Free Things to Do in Beverly Hills Overview

South Beverly Grill - New American Restaurant in Beverly Hills, LA

Beverly Hills is undoubtedly a tourist hotspot. Take a walk around town during the day and witness countless tour buses, travelers snapping selfies, and families huddling up around famous sites for a group shot. Fortunately there are lots of free things to do in Beverly Hills to balance out all the expensive stuff.

Perhaps the most obvious free destination in Beverly Hills is one of the city’s stellar parks. Beverly Gardens Park along Santa Monica Boulevard is a must-see with numerous pieces of public art, a converted bridle path for walking, and the iconic “Beverly Hills” sign where people line up for photo ops.

Another great park option is Roxbury Memorial Park on Olympic Boulevard, an expansive piece of land with picnic areas, jungle gyms, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and a beach-worthy sand volleyball court.

To take in the glitzy Beverly Hills atmosphere without spending too much dough, a stroll down Rodeo Drive to window shop and take in the sights (including the possible celebrity/paparazzi spotting) followed by a quick bite at one of the less expensive eateries along Little Santa Monica Boulevard (or South SMB…basically the street just below the main Santa Monica Boulevard drag) is a great way to see what all the Beverly Hills fuss is about.

In a city known to empty the wallets of those who enter it, there are a variety of free things to do in Beverly Hills that will get residents and visitors alike out and about.
