Music venue Brixton Jamm holds 600 people across two rooms and brings alt-rock, electronic acts, and hip-hop to the Brixton neighborhood. Bands such as MGMT and Hot Chip play their hits and sometimes moonlight as guest DJs. The club space is also notorious for its after-parties, for shows held at the venue and elsewhere. Each room has its own bar and large groups of music fanatics and cool kids.
Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Brixton Jamm alternates between two personas – the live music of Brixton Live and the party nights of Jamm Club. Tickets to live shows at Brixton Jamm vary, and club nights usually have a cover charge and a queue. Open until 4am, Brixton Jamm extends the fun to its outdoor space, where smokers do not have to abandon the music and dancing.
Brixton Jamm is close to the Stockwell and Brixton Tube stations. The size and make-up of the crowd varies, based on promotions and performers.
