Patrons are surrounded by a jungle atmosphere at Le Maori, a relaxing New Zealand-styled restaurant that transforms into a hot dance spot that attracts a boisterous, fun-loving crowd.
Lined with gray stone and Mayan statues, the dining space has the feel of a modern cave, and serves up diverse fare from all over the world like hazelnut chicken in a Tandory sauce and salmon steak with sweet nutmeg and cinnamon spices.
The upstairs bar, meanwhile, houses a giant tropical tree feeding through the floor and the ceiling. Loaded with sprinklers, the tree helps keep its young customers cool with sprays of mist while they enjoy a bevy of tropical fruit cocktails.
Various live bands from folk to rock set up every Friday in the dining room, but the real action takes place further up the red-carpeted stairway where a DJ spins every Saturday in the enormous dance space as the rambunctious clientele gets wild.
A nice Nice place for a chill dinner or a little bit of dancing, Le Maori is all about kitschy Kiwi-fueled fun.
Friendly and high-energy, 20s and 30s.
DJ spins house, techno, and hip-hop. Karaoke on Wednesdays. Variable live music on Fridays.
Diverse menu includes salads, fish, and sandwiches.
Salads €10+, sandwiches €9+. Beer €4, wine €3, cocktails €9.
Casual.
