Located just across the street from the train station, The Station Tavern is an ordinary English pub with some extraordinary specials.
This casual pub forgoes extravagance in favor of affordable cocktails and snacks, making it a great hangout spot for its sports-oriented clientele and a good option for pre-club drinks.
Plenty of low tables and an unusual number of ottomans cover the floor, the better to accommodate the crowd of laid-back patrons gathered around their pints.
That the venue is a sports bar is evident in its décor, which features walls decked out in flags and European football jerseys, much like the jersey-clad patrons who cram into every corner to watch and loudly cheer on their favorite teams on the two enormous flat-screen TVs.
While sports certainly contribute to its overall vibe, The Station Tavern is equally popular for its daily drink specials, friendly conversation, and easygoing clientele that’s always up for a bit of karaoke or a game of pool.
Casual, somewhat male-dominated, both locals and travelers, 18 to 35+.
Bartender’s choice, often features rock, hip-hop, and jazz. Karaoke nights.
Bar snacks.
Beer €5, wine €4, shots €4, drink special €15 for ten shots or ten beers.
Casual.
Any night for a casual setting, or on the weekends for pre-club drinks.
