Pitbull Bio

Pitbull, real name Armando Pérez, is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer born in 1981 to Cuban parents in Miami. Pitbull’s music is a mixture of hip-hop, house, EDM, eurodance, and pop.

Breaking out onto the music scene in 2001, Pitbull started to make a name for himself in 2002 with a track on Lil Jon’s album Kings of Crunk titled “Pitbull's Cuban Ride Out.” In 2004, he released his debut album M.I.A.M.I. (short for Money Is A Major Issue). Next came El Mariel (2006) and The Boatlift (2007).

The 2009 album Rebelution contained Pitbull’s first hit single “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho).” The album features artists such as Akon, B.o.B, Ke$ha, Lil Jon, and more. A year later Pitbull released his first Spanish studio album, Armando.

Pitbull's 2011 album, Planet Pit, features the song “Give Me Everything,” with Ne-yo, Nayer, and Afrojack. It was his first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100, and also reached No. 1 worldwide. Pitbull's 2012 album, Global Warming, includes guest vocals from Christina Aguilera on “Feel This Moment,” which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"We call it struggle, he called life", that could be the main essence of "Armando Bond" a.k.a Pitbull music. Raised in Cuba and first know for songs with mixed lyrics, both Spanish and English, like "Culo" he had gained his position as one of the most important and commercial musicians around the world. Collaborating with Top A list artist like Lil Jon and Christina Aguilera, Armando Pérez can say he´s on the top of the world right now. Plus, he uses the most beautiful latinas in his videos. What else you need!

Mr. 305...Worldwide! Love his music, his energy, his talent and much much more… Pitbull is charismatic, spectacular and he has many hits to choose from. His career will continue to climb. I teach Zumba and Pitbull’s songs are on my playlist. I have my class shake their hips to my favorites “Pause”, “Alright”, “Shake Senora”, “Pass At Me” and many more. His music is full of energy, great beats and lots of excitement. Everyone gets a good workout and I enjoy myself :) His Caribbean flavor is simply addictive. Great artist, very talented and he is absolutely amazing! Pitbull always brings the PARTY!!!

"I party like a rock star...look like a movie star...play like an all-star...f*ck like a porn star..." I want to hate Pitbull, but I can't. I actually think his music is really cheesy and he seems to have an enormous opinion of himself (cocky is an understatement...Mr. 305! What is that all about?) but...um...yeah...his music's kinda fun. I hope Pitbull has a financial stake in the booming Zumba industry...my friend teaches classes and it seems like he's had a hand in every song they dance around and exercise to. Love "Go Girl", "The Anthem", and especially "Pause". Oh yeah, and I like the cameos he has in all the JLO songs. Pitbull's just a nice dude who's having fun with his success.

Pitbull is the worst. He ruins every song he touches. I don't understand why he is remotely successful. All his raps are the same, the tone of his voice is annoying, and he is way too cocky. I remember one day I head a beautiful song by Afrojack and Ne-Yo entitled "Give Me Everything." I downloaded it and this song frequented my workout playlist. Then three months later I hear on the radio the song, except now it's Pitbull featuring Ne-Yo and some woman who is impossible to understand. This ruined song became number one, and I could no longer appreciate the beautiful song that was originally just Ne-Yo and Afrojack. Pitbull also seems to take a stab at ruining every Jennifer Lopez song too. He's everywhere, and he should be nowhere. He is one of the worst things to happen to music in a long time, and I hope his success and strong media presence ends soon.
