I saw Kaskade this weekend at Marquee in Las Vegas, where he has a summer 2013 residency. Kaskade is one of the EDM artists I've known the longest, and had high expectations for, and while he didn't disappoint me by any means, I wasn't overwhelmed with his particular set either. I primarily associate Kaskade with the type of music he personally makes -- house music that is generally uplifting and melodic -- but I felt his set in Vegas didn't really follow that mold and he instead played a lot of songs that were considerably more grating on the ears and not as emotional/euphoric as they could have been. However, he did keep a good dancefloor going and the overall experience was still great -- the atmosphere of the club was as positive as I could have hoped, and compared to the other club I went to over the weekend, Kaskade definitely brought out better girls :D I'm pretty sure I'll end up seeing him in the future, possibly again at Marquee this summer, and I don't doubt I'd have a great time again.

Kaskade is SO sick. I have been a big fan for a long time and have seen him many times... I also saw him for the first time at Beyond Wonderland and thoroughly enjoyed it, his music is very chill and beautiful. The best time was definitely at Marquee in Las Vegas though, when his Fire and Ice album had just come out. I had been listening to it nonstop and seeing him perform all those songs live with beautiful confetti during the ice songs and fantastic visuals throughout was an incredible experience. He handed out big glow sticks that switched between flashing different colors or slowly changing color, and I still have mine to this day! I saw him more recently again in Vegas at the Chelsea Ballroom too, and he put on a really great performance even in kind of a weird setting. The main draw there was that basically all of UCLA attended. GREAT TIMES! He only gets better with time.

Kaskade is awesome to see live. I first saw him at Beyond Wonderland in San Bernadino and his chilling music is perfect for the closing of a festival. I saw him again at Identity Festival in Chula Vista. He recently embarked on his own stadium tour. My friends and I watched it and it was eerily similar to both his Coachella and EDC sets, so be prepared for some repetitiveness in his set. Some of his top songs for me include "Move For Me," "Eyes" "Your Love is Black" and "Room For Happiness." What I really like is his Fire and Ice CD. I'm not too big of a fan of all the Fire mixes, but the Ice mixes of all his songs are really nice to relax or take a nap too. One song I really like to chill out too is the ice mix of "Turn It Down." Overall I love this guy. If he comes on tour you should definitely check him out!
