The UIC Pavilion is a multi-purpose arena built in 1982 and located in Chicago’s West Side on the University of Illinois at Chicago campus.
The pavilion is used for concerts, sporting events, festivals, and other corporate and cultural events throughout the year. The UIC Flames men’s and women’s basketball teams play all their home games at the UIC Pavilion. The Pavilion was also the former home of the WNBA team, Chicago Sky, and housed the Chicago Storm Indoor Soccer League from 2004 to 2006.
As a concert venue, UIC Pavilion hosts a variety of shows of different genres and popularity. Smaller shows are at half-house capacity, which seats 5,878, while full-house shows at UIC Pavilion can seat over 10,000 and thus attracts big-name acts throughout the year.
Sporting events at UIC Pavilion generally seats around 7,000 guests. In addition to its college basketball teams, UIC Pavilion is home to the Windy City Rollers roller derby team, which attracts a sizeable crowd for their home games.
