Party Earth Brand BBQ Market Review

The Scene

Brand BBQ Market in Chicago’s Logan Square is a popular barbecue joint with amazing meat & is also BYOB! Stuff your face in Chicago with Party Earth!

Consistently ranked in local polls among the Top 5 BBQ spots in town, Brand BBQ Market sees a steady stream of grilled meat aficionados and hip locals coming back time and again for smoky flavor, homemade sauces, and mammoth plates of distinctly non-vegetarian cuisine.

Burnt orange walls surround the rectangular dining room – complete with artsy prints and chalkboard menus hanging above the room’s fifteen tables, creating a homey and intimate atmosphere.

Close quarters put senior couples discussing the consistency of the eight house sauces shoulder to shoulder with hipster college kids arguing indie rock, and heaping servings of baby back ribs, smoked chicken, pork belly confit, and pulled duck, mean everybody comes prepared to get a little messy.

The venue doesn’t serve alcohol, but patrons are welcome to bring in their own booze – sadly, Brand’s bourbon mustard lacks inebriating qualities. And all the fresh meats can be incorporated into regular-human-portion-sized sandwiches for those looking to avoid overstuffing.

Oddly enough for a barbecue joint, the mac and cheese may be the most popular thing on the menu, though it dutifully comes topped with double-smoked brisket fat and gets taken down in massive quantities during the all-you-can-eat special on Mondays.

Ultimately, Logan Square’s Brand BBQ Market specializes in two things: putting a killer twist on their version of smoky barbecue and busting belt buckles. Skinny jeans beware!

Tip from Lucas:

Ask your server about the Brandeurysm! This insane challenge gives you one hour to take down 5lbs. of brisket, 2lbs. of mac and cheese, and a pound of French fries. If you survive, it’s free and you get a spot on the wall of fame! Fail and wallow in both shame and gluttony.
