Halloween Havoc Film Festival is an annual horror film fest held around Halloween at the Portage Theater in Chicago, Illinois. Built in 1920, The Portage Theater is a single screen theater with a seating capacity of around 1,300 and famous for being used as the setting for the final scenes of the movie Public Enemies where John Dillinger is shot outside of a then-contemporary 1930s movie theater.

Started in 2008, Halloween Havoc Film Festival is a five-day fest dedicated to keeping the scary in Halloween and honoring the horror genre. Halloween Havoc Film Festival features screenings of classic horror and thriller films, as well as a costume contest with cash prizes of up to $200. Past Halloween Havoc Film Festival film screenings include The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Jeepers Creepers.
