Chicago Food & Wine Festival 2012 Description

Chicago Food & Wine Festival - Food & Drink Event | Food Festival | Wine Festival in Chicago.

It’s a foodie’s paradise in November thanks to the Chicago Food & Wine Festival, an annual event that became part of the city’s already vast culinary scene in 2012.

Held at the Pheasant Run Resort, a beautiful entertainment resort about an hour west of downtown, the Chicago Food & Wine Festival promises thousands of unique tastings from dozens of top chefs, restaurants, sommeliers, brewers, and mixologists.

So come hungry, thirsty, and ready to get your foodie on.

Normally hosted by Ted Brunson from WGN TV's “Chicago's Best,” the Chicago Food & Wine Festival features hourly cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs (such as Dana Cohen, Patrick Cassata, Brian Merel, and Josh Marks), in-depth wine discussions with notable personalities like Jessica Altieri from Wine Channel TV, and tons of opportunities to learn about the hottest trends in the culinary world.

Each celebrity chef at the Chicago Food & Wine Festival will present tastings of their signature dishes, along with special wine choices and signature cocktails. A large portion of the proceeds from the Chicago Food & Wine Festival benefit Autism Speaks and other charities.

Chicago Food & Wine Festival tickets range from around $75–$250. The cheaper tickets are valid for a single day of tasting, which usually lasts for roughly five hours. The more expensive tickets include access to celebrity chef meet-and-greets, access to all the cooking shows, and an engraved wine glass.
