The namesake of this former meat factory-turned-nightclub – a term normally used to describe the power of light – is evidenced by thousands of undulating LEDs that blanket Lumen’s cavernous ceiling.

Club kids devoted to Ed Hardy and miniskirted girls less consigned to hem lines stomp through a bamboo printed hallway and spill out over the several thousand square foot dance floor, where trendy singles mingle and share drinks to the bass-heavy sounds of Top 40 and hip-hop from the DJ spinning in the back.

Larger celebratory groups of birthday pals and partiers on the prowl, meanwhile, fill leather VIP seats for bottle service and a breather from the fist-pumping crowd.

Making use of its industrial history, Lumen mixes its concrete floor and pillars with ultra modern violet lights, sleek furniture, and glossy finishes, most notably a long jet black bar that extends the entire length of the nightclub, attended by hundreds of racially diverse and hip patrons with slicked back hair and sequined dresses.

Following the wood paneled walls to the very back is an elevated area with couches for more VIPs and a clear view of the DJ at his craft.

A gem among factory buildings, Lumen is the place to be for loud music, big crowds, and a dance hall that literally lights up the night.
