Just steps away from a stretch of the city’s rowdiest sports bars, Rockit Burger Bar offers hearty pub grub, live music, and a slightly more laid-back vibe in an upscale, but still sports-focused, environment.

Much like its original sister bar in River North, Rockit in Wrigleyville is known for its energetic yet easygoing atmosphere – a place where flirtatious ladies and fraternity types can chat, down a few pints, and catch the game without being bothered by incessant cheers and jeers from the crowd.

A shiny, brightly lit bar backed by an array of high-end and rare liquor bottles welcomes young professionals stopping in for after-work cocktails, while big TVs – interspersed with the same iconic antler chandeliers as the original location – keep patrons up to date on the latest scores.

Thursdays see music lovers and Cubs fans coming together for live acoustic performances, while weekends draw a slightly louder and more energetic crowd of sports fans, and party girls, who take over the booths in the back or head to the dog-friendly patio to enjoy brunch and mimosas by day or a few of the venue’s signature “rocktails” by night.

A touch of Wrigleyville sports fanaticism combined with an upscale pub environment makes Rockit Burger Bar an easy choice for less frenetic lovers of the game.

Go For The Burgers!

After finding a Groupon for Rockit Burger Bar one weekend, my friends and I decided to check out the place for a good guy's night out. Since we like to do our research, we took a look at the online menu the night before, and it looked very promising. For a place called "Rockit" Burger Bar, it really shot our expectations through the roof and into the sky (excuse the wordplay) for what bar food should be like. In fact, I think Rockit Burger can stand alone as a burger restaurant. We shared the Truffle Mushroom Burger, the signature Rockit Burger with wagyu beef patty, the Locavore that was stacked with beer-battered onion rings, and probably the best sweet potato fries we've ever had (the brown sugar topping is genius!). Even though we had drinks on the table, and were surrounded by a passionate crowd watching a college basketball game, we sat there silently, completely focused on the food and nothing else. Every bite was extremely juicy; the rich ingredients like truffle cream, bacon aioli, and nordic smoked cheese blended perfectly. The burger buns also stood out. They were very fluffy and tasted like they were specifically made for the burgers at Rockit. After we devoured sweet potato fries, which I forgot to mention comes with a side of chipotle mayo, we ordered another one and the friendly waitress was kind enough to give us more sides of chipotle mayo and a handful of napkins. We ended up feeling too full to finish our drinks. We weren't starving when we came, but it was worth it to feel that full - the food was that good. Other than the food, the atmosphere was welcoming. The music wasn't obnoxiously loud, the large windows in the restaurant gave it a chill vibe, the people were down to earth, and the overall service deserved a big tip. Whether if it’s with a group of friends or even alone, I know I’m coming back here again. The burgers blew me away by surprise the first time, and I’m sure it will again the next time.

If sticky floors, a nebula of cigarette smoke, and Bud Light showers as part of game day celebrations don’t sound appealing, there is a place for people like you. Where you can don a shirt that doesn’t have to be polyester based with a name and number on the back, where you can lean over and actually hear what the person next to you is saying without being a world renowned lip reader; a place called Rockit Burger. Rockit Burger is a more refined answer to the hard core dive bars and other sports houses of worship that many fans flock to. A sports bar at its core, Rockit Burger boasts two bars and 20 large flat screen TVs, offering superior cocktails and granting well over a hundred feet of pure professional athletic entertainment. Rockit Burger appeals to the many other facets of its customers as well, offering events like live performances, weekly DJ appearances, industry nights, trivia Thursdays, and karaoke Fridays. Every Saturday Rockit Burger invites all of its Rockit scientists to the Burger Lab for some experimental trial and error with exotic meats, unconventional toppings and fresh sauces. And every Saturday and Sunday afternoon fans can look forward to brunch Rockit style; with all the traditional brunch trimmings plus the welcomed addition of the breakfast burrito, burger benedict and sausage & egg flatbread pizza. With a sophisticated, down to earth menu that features favorites like an apricot turkey burger, truffle mushroom flatbread pizza, and a Macdaddy burger topped with braised short rib, mac and cheese, and caramelized onions; it’s quite clear that Rockit Burger isn’t your average, run of the mill sports bar.
Good Times, Great People, Sub-par Memory.

If you are looking for a chill spot away from some rowdy bars I would highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat at Rockit Burger Bar. Just a mere 3 blocks from Chicago’s very own Wrigley field it’s the perfect place to grab a bite to eat, a drink, and catch some of a sports game if not all. With a laid back atmosphere and chill people you can always find yourself lost in great conversation and tasty food. From there fantastic burgers to flat bread pizza Rockit Burger Bar has some more then appetizing food to make your choice from. I would highly recommend the mushroom burger it is absolutely mouth watering! When you swing on down to Wrigleyville keep in mind the tasteful Rockit Burger Bar with its assortments of beer and drinks along with its delectable food!
Great place!

I came here with a big group and we had a blast! The food is AMAZING (I ordered the Farmhouse Burger, its was wayyy too big for me but it tasted GREAT). The restaurant was pretty full so it had a very lively atmosphere. Rockit Burger is a very fun restaurant, the kind where they get creative with the names of their dishes so its actually very entertaining to read the menu. They have a huge space too with multiple party rooms/lounges. Definitely a must!
Great for brunch, but douchey at night.

Came for brunch on a Saturday and my group of seven was seated right away. The $5 bloody Mary's were super tasty and I love that there's a bloody Mary bar where you can build your own – with a million different choices of peppers, hot sauces, pickles, cheeses, and even meats. Even though there was live music we could still here ourselves talk. We had a build your own omelet and a breakfast burrito, both of which were enormous and really well done. Definitely stuffed ourselves while we were here. Rockit can be very different later at night. It transitions from a chill haunt with a good amount of college football on the tube to douchey frat boy bar. There is a second floor open on the weekends which plays host to every obnoxious, rude, asinine tourist and neighborhood local imaginable. So go for brunch, is my point.
