Party Earth Review Tucked into the basement of an unmarked brick building, Lucky's Lounge is a cool little hideaway where the unusual mix of hipsters and business types can get a taste of Rat Pack glam. Early evenings draw a well-dressed and easygoing crowd of bankers, brokers, and business people, who slide into the red banquettes in the ... more

The sounds of the city are undeniably musical, so it's important that a hub like Boston has plenty of music venues. The Waterfront and Fort Point music venues are most popular in the summer months, as this area of town tends to get pretty chilly in the winter.
The Bank of America Pavilion is certainly the largest music venue on the Waterfront or any of the nearby neighborhoods. This impressive, 5,000 seat amphitheater is actually a seasonal venue, as the parts that make up the open-air structure are disassembled each fall and put back together in the spring. The high profile of the roof allows spectators to take in the panorama of the city skyline while also enabling epic sound and lighting effects.
The Institute of Contemporary Art, or ICA, regularly hosts First Friday events each month, with guest DJs, live performances, and specialty drinks. The event is held outdoors in their Putnam Investments Plaza area on the water's edge, which has a wooden deck and stadium-style levels of floor, underneath the museum's overhang and facing the Boston Harbor.
The Barking Crab, one of the city's most legendary seafood joints, does have live music in their open-air tent area, so that folks might enjoy some tunes while they pick apart their lobsters.
The Fort Point area doesn't have any distinct music venues per say, but the outdoor patio area facing the channel in front of the Boston Children's Museum does hold free outdoor music concerts in the summer, set against the Boston skyline.
