Boston’s South End has been known for the diversity of its inhabitants since the 1880s, when Irish, Lebanese, Jewish, African-American, and Greek families all settled in the area. Nowadays the South End is known as one of the main restaurant districts in Boston, offering a range of ethnic cuisines and Restaurant Row on Tremont Street.

For one night each year, Taste of the South End celebrates the neighborhood’s long history of culinary excellence when some of the best eateries and kitchens in Boston come together at one site to offer guests bite-sized versions of their favorite menu items.
