Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, MA) Information

Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, MA) - Concert Venue | Stadium in Boston.

While Gillette Stadium in Foxborough is primarily known as the home of the New England Patriots, the venue actually hosts many other events – sports-related and otherwise. The 68,756-seat venue opened its doors in 2002, after two years of construction. In addition to the Pats, it is also the home turf of the New England Revolution and the University of Massachusetts football team. Concerts at Gillette Stadium have included everyone from the Rolling Stones and U2 to Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. Concession stands sprinkled throughout the stadium make sure that guests have a hot dog and a Sam Adams in hand at all times. The massive parking lot has plenty of space, but the MBTA also offers “Football Trains” departing from South Station in Boston and Providence Station in Providence, RI that take fans directly to the stadium for a measly $15 round trip. To buff up on Patriots history, check out the Hall at the Patriot Place, which houses Pats memorabilia and the team’s three Lombardi trophies. For life-long fans and tykes alike, a game at Gillette is a thrilling experience.

Great Entertainment Venue and More!
Brian L. May 25, 2013
Looking for a great place to attend a sporting event, music venue or business meeting? Gillette Stadium is the place to go. With seating over 68,000 there is no bad view of the event. Before and after the game, Patriot Place Mall hosts many restaurant, bars and shops to keep the excitement going. Security is visible, especially during game time, and staff are very helpful. Customer service is the main goal of all employees. Parking is widely available and events happen frequently so check online for more details. Traffic restrictions occur during events so make sure to leave enough time for travel to and from the stadium. I recommend checking out Gillette Stadium and the surrounding Patriot Place for all locals and visitors. You will not be disappointed.
Great Place to root on your team!

Have you ever entered a stadium and felt like you have just entered another world? I guess that is the best way I can describe my first few steps into Gillette Stadium. I have always been a huge Patriots fan and to see endless rows of seats full of screaming fans makes your heart take a leap. You can get a great peak at the action no matter where you are sitting. But, I think the best part about Gillette is the fans. There is something about the New England fans being packed into one area together to cheer on their team. But, that doesn't mean Gillette doesn't have it's drawbacks. Climbing in your car after a game or concert is worse than waiting in line at disney world. The cars do not move and the so called traffic officers do not help. The lanes are often closed off so more cars can travel in one direction so try and figure out which way has the most lanes before exiting the stadium. An afternoon with a couple beers watching some football is all worth having a good laugh in the car while you wait to leave. It's a great time to lean out the window and bond with those in a similar predicament. If I had to give a suggestion, I would say grab your Patriots jersey, be prepared to spend a lot of money, but expect to have an amazing time.
