Boston Burger Joints Overview

Back Deck - Burger Joint | Barbeque Restaurant in Boston

With the amount of Boston burger joints spread throughout the city, let it never be thought that Bostonians are all health conscious vegetarians. Even hipster-heavy Jamaica Plain has a solid burger place – with vegetarian options, of course.

Tasty Burger is a hipster haven in the Fenway area, with a giant mural of Samuel L. Jackson chomping into a burger, a digital jukebox, and magic 8 balls and card games littering the stainless steel bar. Diner style burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes, and a daily special are served up on the cheap, and a chalkboard full of canned beers keeps the post-Sox crowd coming back for more.

The three outposts of Uburger feature a menu chock full of burgers, “udogs,” and frappes that appeal to college kids on a budget as well as hungry tourists.

Somerville’s Boston Burger Company, located in the center of Davis Square, is a popular meeting spot for the neighborhood’s community of hipsters and young professionals. Famous for outrageously fattening specials such as the “King” burger topped with bacon, fried bananas, and more bacon, and the “Artery Clogger,” whose main component is a deep-fried hamburger patty, the restaurant also offers beer and wine.

Tiny Grass Fed in Jamaica Plain only has three small counters for guests to eat at, but locals and foodies don’t mind waiting for the standing room only space. Besides an extensive menu of gourmet burgers, the restaurant also serves an assortment of craft beers and wickedly delicious alcoholic milkshakes that are so sweet, you’ll forget you’re drinking tequila – until you have trouble finding your way back to the door after dinner.

Not to fear, burger lovers – the burger joints in Boston have you covered (even if you’re more of a veggie burger lover).
