American alternative rock band The Killers has been topping the charts since its debut album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004.
Formed in 2001 by lead singer Brandon Flowers and lead guitarist Dave Keuning, the band also includes bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr.
Despite being a U.S. band, The Killers actually owe its initial success to UK label Lizard King Records, which signed the group in 2003. Hot Fuss went on to earn the No. 1 slot on the UK charts – remaining on the charts for 173 weeks, longer than any album in UK history – and also went triple platinum back in the United States.
Hugely successful tracks from Hot Fuss include “Mr. Brightside," “All These Things That I've Done," “Somebody Told Me," and “Smile Like You Mean It."
Follow-up albums since the band’s debut include Sam's Town in 2006, Day & Age in 2008, and Battle Born in 2012, as well as the compilation album, Sawdust (2007) and the live album Live from the Royal Albert Hall (2009).
The Killers have sold tens of millions of albums worldwide and continue to tour extensively, as well as headline festivals in both North America and Europe. Be sure to get The Killers tickets when the band hits a town near you!
