Named by the Improper Bostonian as Boston’s best comedy club for 2012, Nick’s Comedy Stop has been serving up laughs for nearly three decades. Many young unknowns have graced the stage at Nick’s over the years, as well as some notable heavy hitters including Jerry Seinfeld, Dane Cook, Steve Allen, and Dennis Leary.
Comedy shows at Nick’s Comedy Stop take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and usually feature one comedian with a few opening acts beforehand. The club is a favorite for college students since it’s 18+, and a favorite for the 21+ population since drinks come in whopping 72 oz. servings.
Accommodating large groups at Nick’s Comedy Stop is no problem as the venue contains two expansive rooms that have a combined seating capacity of 500. Since the club is in the thick of the popular Theater District, arriving by MBTA is relatively simple as the Green Boylston stop, the Orange Chinatown stop, and the Red Park Street stop are all blocks away.
Street parking can be tricky, but Nick’s offers parking in the Stuart Street lot next door for a mere $10 a spot. A place where raw talent gets tested and seasoned professionals sharpen their skills, a comedy show at Nick’s Comedy Stop is always a crowd pleaser.
