Tucked between the South End and Back Bay, Club Café is a buzzing hetero-friendly gay hotspot perfect for high-energy evenings with a vibrant crowd.
Early evenings see well-dressed couples sliding into the upholstered booths in the warm red and brown lounge for a bite to eat before heading in to see what’s happening in the Napoleon Room, a cozy cabaret featuring variety shows, sing-alongs, and open mic nights.
A backlit stainless steel bar provides space for groups of chattering men – some in eye-catching sequin gowns – to down ginger peach martinis and get in some pre-party flirting.
Later on, the buzzed crowd slips through the door behind the bar into the Moonshine Room for an exuberant dance party to the DJ’s mix of 80s classics and Top 40 hits, as sparkly music videos projected from the stage form the backdrop for the ensuing frenzy of booty shaking.
Hangovers notwithstanding, the fun-loving crowd heads back on Sundays for the Bloody Mary brunch, making Club Café the perfect place for both a wild night on the town and a hearty meal to recover from it.
Diverse mix of trendy singles, gays and lesbians, young professionals, and sophisticated couples, mid-20s to late 30s.
Nightly piano player, cabaret, sing-alongs, comedy, and variety shows in the Napoleon Room starting between 7 and 9pm.
