Good for Groups in Kreuzberg / Neukölln Overview

Avastar - Bar | Club in Kreuzberg / Neukölln, Berlin

The neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Neukölln, directly on the west side of the former Berlin Wall and now known collectively as Kreutz-kölln, are Berlin’s bohemian quarters. The combination of a growing Turkish immigrant population, cheap housing, a left-leaning political vibe, and gritty aesthetics draw in Europe’s artists, musicians, and rambunctious youth.

Good for groups in Kreuzberg and Neukölln is anything that gets people out and about on the bustling streets. In Kreuzberg the hectic and sometimes wild Oranienstrasse and Skalitzer Strasse have plenty of bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, and small shops to visit. Groups can also spend an afternoon at Görlitzer Park, where young families, artists, and alternative types are frequently spotted lounging in the grass.

In Neukölln groups can join Berlin’s hipster community on Weserstrasse for a tasty Belgian beer at Yuma, or one of the many other bars and cafés that have opened on this street in the last few years. Groups may also want to peruse the outdoor markets, like the thrice-weekly Türkenmarkt, or the twice-monthly Nowkoelln Flowmarkt, both located directly on the Spree River Canal.

The number of activities that are good for groups in Kreuzberg and Neukölln are unlimited, and in many cases don’t cost a thing.
