Berlin Music Week Description

Berlin Music Week - Arts Festival | Concert | DJ Event | Food & Drink Event | Music Festival in Berlin.

For a week in early September, Berlin hosts the Berlin Music Week. Since 2009, music fans from around the world have come to Berlin for this week of concerts and professional networking. The performances are centered on the popular venues in Berlin’s musical neighborhoods of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.

In addition to concerts, the Berlin Music Week hosts the Word on Sound music business conference for those in the music industry. The festival also showcases new talent, ending the week with the New Music Award, featuring top emerging artists from around the world. Past performers at Berlin Music Week include headlining acts like The Killers, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sigur Rós, Franz Ferdinand, Bonaparte, and Metronomy.

Tickets for Berlin Music Week range from about €45 for student tickets to about €188 for walk up tickets. With plenty of venues and concerts, there’s no shortage of parties and after parties at Berlin Music Week. But for a truly unique experience, check out the Silent Arena After Show Party at Tempelhof Airport. Thousands come to this after party to “silently” dance to the same music wearing headphones until 4am.
