An upscale club with a casual vibe and the look of an old-fashioned parlor, Soda pumps out the latest hip-hop and Top 40 tunes for its energetic clientele of young, attractive Berliners.
Although the main bar is downstairs, which functions as a restaurant by day, the real action happens upstairs on the two connecting dance floors where the upbeat hits stir up excitement among the crowd, and lovely ladies take to the raised platforms.
The frenzy continues on the adjacent dance floor where patrons squeeze into every available corner – their movements reflected and amplified by a wall of mirrors – or disappear into one of the many nooks designed for intimate conversation.
If patrons prefer to witness the scene from a distance, they can pull up a stool at the bar or vie for one of the black leather booths around the perimeter. An extra dance room is open in the winter, and a terrace provides much-needed breathing room in the summer.
Mix of the young and beautiful and some high rollers, late teens to early 30s.
Salsa on Sundays and Thursdays; hip-hop, house and 80s dance music on Fridays and Saturdays.
An attached restaurant serves salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and burgers noon–11pm on weekdays and 5–11pm on weekends. Ladies’ Night on Friday includes free admission until 1am and coupons for free drinks up to €7.
Cover charge €8. Menu €7–€13. Beer €3–€4, wine €3–€4, cocktails €6.50–€9, mixed drinks €6–€7, shots €3.50.
Smart casual.
The party really gets going around midnight on the weekends. For salsa, show up on Sunday and Thursday nights before 10pm.
