Día de los Reyes Magos 2013 Description

Día de los Reyes Magos - Food & Drink Event | Holiday Event in Barcelona.

Dia de los Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day) is the biggest holiday of the year in Barcelona. Held each year on January 6, Three Kings Day features holiday foods, a massive parade, and plenty of presents.

Families and holiday revelers show up early to find a spot along the streets of Barcelona for the annual parade, which starts around 6pm. The three kings -- Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar -- lead the procession from the Barcelona Port throughout the city. Gifts are traditionally exchanged between friends, and children leave out their shoes for candy or coal.

Dia de los Reyes Magos is free and all ages are welcome to take part in these timeless holiday customs. After the celebration, try traditional dishes like Roscón de Reyes, a round cake enjoyed in Spain around Three Kings Day.
