The raw energy and passion that an FC Barcelona football match generates is a spectacle well worth seeing first hand, especially if the team has a home match at the Camp Nou stadium.
Though tickets can be hard to come by, fans can try their luck first at one of the ubiquitous Servicaixa locations and, failing that, can take a trip to the stadium to see if there are last-minute tickets available.
Of course, there are always scalpers lingering outside the stadium, but patrons should proceed at their own risk since scalped tickets may be valid only with the corresponding ID.
Those who can’t get into the match with the other roaring 99,000 fans can always duck into one of the many bars and restaurants in the area, all of which will have the match on.
Dedicated football buffs won’t want to miss the Camp Nou tour and museum in which they’ll be shown every corner of the stadium, the press box, and the teams’ changing rooms and may even have the opportunity to walk on the very field that has been graced by the likes of Johan Cruyff, Maradona, and Ronaldinho.
Entertainment
Football played by one of the best teams in the world, and boisterous singing and chanting from the crowd. Stadium tour available from 10am to 5:30pm every day except Sundays and match days.
Food / Miscellaneous
Around and inside the stadium are the usual restaurants, food stands, sports bars, and souvenir shops.
Prices
Tickets €30+. Camp Nou tour and museum €18.
Dress
Team colors – red and blue.
Close By
If tickets are unavailable, just watch the match at a nearby sports bar or head back toward the bars in Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas to enjoy the match with other die-hard fans.
Tip
The rivalry between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is one of the most famous in sports history, so if you can get your hands on a ticket – it will cost you! – then you’re in for an unforgettable night. Whether you make it to the match or not, if Barcelona wins you can always join the fun at Plaça Catalunya where fans gather en masse to celebrate.
