La Champañeria (Can Paixano) - Bar | Restaurant in Barcelona.

Party Earth Review Though La Champañeria’s location tucked away on a street surrounded by electronics stores seems a tad inauspicious, this authentic champagne and tapas bar still manages to pack in a crowd every day of the week – in large part thanks to the amazingly low prices and sensational food and drink. Once past Can Paixano’s wood ... more

Bars in Port Olimpic / Barceloneta Overview

The Port Olimpico and Barceloneta area is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Barcelona because of its proximity to the beach and laid back Mediterranean vibe. In addition to boasting golden sand and clear blue water, Port Olimpico and Barceloneta also have some of the coolest and most unique bars in the city. While many people head to the ports for Spain’s famous Paella or a night at the trendy clubs like Opium Mar, an increasing number of people stick around after dinner to hit the bars before dancing the night away.

While there are a serious of raucous and rowdy bars that line Port Olimpico, many of them don’t get popular until the early morning, which is right when the big clubs are heating up. However, there are a number of bars that offer drinkers a much friendlier timetable. La Champañeria, or Can Paixano is a cava bar that serves up delicious glasses of Catalan cava as well as local traditional tapas. With low prices and endless bubbly, it’s packed every day of the week.

Although Barcelona’s beach side neighborhoods may seem like an odd place to go to an ice bar, a few hours in the sweltering sun may be enough for anyone to go in search of cooler pastures. Icebarcelona is Barcelona’s rendition of the popular idea and is a great place to cool off and escape the sun with a cocktail or beer in hand.
