May 29, 2013 — By the end of June, summer is here and springtime 2013 is gone forever. But before the season bids farewell and the solstice ushers in the longest day of the year, celebrate spring’s passing with the best global concerts during the first half of June.
At the Kings of Mic tour, you can pretend it’s spring of 1985 as LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, and De La Soul bring old-school hip-hop beats to Washington, D.C. If it’s new-school hip-hop you crave, Pitbull tickets are on sale for his San Francisco show, where he will share stage time with Ke$ha.
Those who prefer guitar riffs to rowdy rap can head to the Big Apple where Sir Paul McCartney is playing. The legendary Beatles and Wings man has two New York shows that are sure to sell out.
If America’s early-June concert offerings don’t inspire you to get up from the couch and out to a live show, Europe might have the music motivation you need. Try the neo-progressive rock anthems of 30 Seconds to Mars as the group hits the stage in Berlin. Or dance the night away to the chillwave compilations of Toro y Moi in Paris.
Spring 2013 won’t last forever. Savor the season with some of the sweetest sounds around at the best concerts in America and Europe during the first half of June.
