Carnival of Cultures in Berlin
May 13, 2013 —
May is finals month for college students around the world. After handing in that last exam or essay, they’re scot-free to skip down the halls, pack up their dorms, and head out into the warm, promising summer.
But people don’t need to be in college to get pumped when May rolls around. As the welcome mat for summer, the year’s fifth month boasts a slew of global events that has alumni of all ages skipping happily to many festivals and soirees.
In New York City, guys and gals who can’t contain their excitement for hotter weather can groove over to the 7th Annual New York Dance Parade. Nearly 10,000 exuberant local and international dancers of all levels take over the Big Apple while performing to all kinds of music, from flamenco to funk.
For those who need more stimulation than an old-fashioned boogie bash, Berlin has just the thing. The German Fetish Ball 2013 is entertaining enough for a wide spectrum of revelers with its abundant offering of adult toys and videos.
Peeps with a more traditional hunger will find solace at the Food Revolution Day Street party 2013, where some of London’s finest culinary treats are ready be purchased and devoured.
Summer is finally here. Celebrate like you’ve just turned in your last college term paper by letting loose at one of these marvelous May events.
