Jul 25, 2012 — What happens when you combine one of the world’s most progressive and alternative youth movements with the best brews around? Some mind-blowingly cool bars.
In Berlin, a striking diversity of hip and laid-back watering holes with casual atmospheres provide a relaxing alternative – or warm up – to its frenzied club scene. And while the drinking culture in Munich may be reflective of its title as the beer capital of the world, with beer gardens and breweries around every turn, plenty of trendy cocktail bars and lounges have popped up to keep the party going long after the brass notes of the Oompah bands have cleared the beer halls. There are a lot of options, and just when you think you’ve looked through all of them, the weather warms up and the beachfront bars along the various German waterways open. Now you’re really going to have trouble deciding where to go.
Luckily our job is to think while your job is to drink, so snap off a few more neural connections at these incredibly cool bars in Germany. Just don’t mix cultures up by wearing your Bavarian Lederhosen to that hipster Berlin bar…unless you plan on putting it on YouTube.
