Santa Speedo Run in Boston
Feb 25, 2013 —
America was founded on the freedom to pursue happiness any way we choose. Needless to say, this love of liberty can sometimes go over the edge, making for some of the wildest, most eclectic events in the US.
Coast to coast, Americans exercise their liberty in all sorts of crazy ways, from haunted hayrides to high heel drag queen races. At bacon festivals, foodies gorge themselves silly on all the hog they can eat while noir fans step back in time to a sultrier, seedier past at classic screenings.
Drinkers can get seriously sloshed on premium sakes at Sake Day in San Francisco. Meanwhile in Boston, hundreds of Santas run through the streets wearing nothing but bright red speedos for the Santa Speedo Run.
Whether you want to try the best food a city has to offer or take in some holiday-themed burlesque, there’s sure to be a great American event to satisfy even the hardest to please patriot. We’ve gone to the extreme and came back all in one piece, so take a chance and go wild with some of our favorite events in the US!
