Jan 14, 2013 — Everybody loves a party, but sometimes you just want to chill out, and that’s where the many wonderful U.S. cafés come into play.
Cafés across the country run the gamut from grungy artists’ hangouts to high-end Euro imports, but the vibe is universally relaxed and casual. And you can rest assured that there’s probably one near you right now.
There’s the trendy café scene in Los Angeles, where everyone’s a beautiful actor or model waiting for their agent to call over café au laits. Then there's the gritty San Francisco cafés where hardscrabble poets scribble in notebooks and talk philosophy. Or there's the funky fun neighborhood cafés in Washington, DC where everyone who is not involved in politics goes to get away from it all.
It doesn’t matter what city you find yourself in, be it New York, Boston, Chicago, or Po-Dunk Nowhere Town, you’ll probably find a U.S. café down the block with a table ready. And maybe a dude strumming his guitar in the corner.
