Sadler's Wells Flamenco Festival in London
Mar 13, 2013 —
We can’t blame you for being annoyed with the slang acronyms FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and YOLO (You Only Live Once) as they are continually overused on Twitter, Facebook, and by grammatically-challenged bros at bars across the world. However, as annoying and redundant as the terms have become, we have to urge you to break out of your normal routine to attend some of the most amazing March events around the globe.
Don’t miss your chance to feel distinguished and in-the-know as you watch innovative flicks screened by a rare rear-projection system at the historic Brattle Theatre during the always fun Boston Underground Film Festival.
If sitting in a theater isn’t your bag, you can lace up the running kicks and head to Italy for the scenic Rome Marathon and cruise by historic landmarks like Saint Peter’s Square and the Colosseum. Or, you can holler from the rafters as you watch world-class athletes do the work at the Amsterdam ArenA when the Netherlands takes on Estonia in a World Cup Qualifying match.
March undoubtedly has something for you, whether you want to kill some brain cells with a nice glass of Shiraz at The New York Wine Expo or fire your synapses at the David Bowie is art exhibit in London.
So, as much as it pains us to say, that bro from the bar has a point. You only live once, so get out there and have the time of your life so that you’ll never have to fear missing out.
